Enterprise Applications

Companies that used Enterprise Applications Successfully.

Hey Guys, Welcome back once again to the blog apologies for this week's late post😖it won't happen again🤣.  Thanks for tuning in and I hope you enjoy this week's read.

This week I will be giving positive examples of successful enterprise applications and how they can support a company's business Strategy and Model.

Amazon

The first company we are going to look at is Amazon. Amazon's Business Strategy prioritizes customer experience and focuses on continuous innovation, investment in technology and operational excellence. So basically Amazon wants the customer to be happy and for the company to run as efficiently as possible through the use of the latest and best technology.

Its Business model is built around e-commerce and the Internet however in recent years it has diversified to incorporating entertainment (Amazon Prime), music (Amazon Music), cloud computing (AWS) and meal deliveries.

Amazon began using the ERP system SAP in 2008. They began using the different ERP systems SAP had to offer such as SAP HANA, SAP Business Suite, SAP Basis and SAP Business Objectives. These ERPs serve a vital role in various elements of the company helping Amazon manage its inventory, logistics, human resources, orders, and sales. Amazon's continued innovation alongside SAP since 2008 has helped Amazon become and remain a global leader in E-commerce and beyond.

Walmart

The second company is American retail giant Walmart. Walmart's Business strategy uses economies of scale to give customers everyday low prices to remain a global leader while also expanding into different markets

Walmart's business model attracts customers with low prices and an extensive range of products while keeping them engaged with discounts and shopping convenience in its brick-and-mortar stores along with its e-commerce platform.

Walmart began using the ERP system Microsoft Azure in 2018. According to TechnologyRecord Walmart implemented Azure as it allows the company access to the public cloud, so it can better manage its workload, access tools for faster innovation, reduce energy usage and save on costs. This cost-saving helps keep Walmart's prices low aligning with their strategy and model.

Starbucks

Starbucks' business strategy emphasises premium coffee, efficient store operations and the use of technology to ensure that customers receive their orders quickly and accurately.

Starbucks' Business model is primarily based around their company-owned stores along with their licensed stores (which are similar to franchising). Here they garner revenue primarily from the sale of coffee, food royalties and various other products.

Starbucks introduced Oracle which is another cloud-based software solution initially in 2002. The ERP system used- Oracle E-Business Suite automates tasks and operations along with enabling users to quickly view revenue information and sales data. This automation along with its quickness in use helps Starbucks to operate as efficiently as possible.

Thanks once again for stopping by to the blog Guys😁. See you next week!!!!
